A Ugandan Constitutional Court judge found a threatening note in his chambers on the morning of the day of the verdict on the presidential age limit petition.

The judge sought refuge at his colleague's chamber before heading to the courtroom, the Daily Monitor reported.

The court session was delayed by an hour starting at 10:40am local time instead of the scheduled 9:30am time.

It is not clear, however, whether the morning twist was the reason why the court session delayed.

Deputy Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny, who is leading the five-judge bench, apologised for the delay citing "some matters".
