The latest move by the Salva Kiir administration to abolish the use of the US dollar in transactions has been received with mixed reactions by regional businesses with operations in South Sudan.
The Bank of South Sudan recently directed that all local transactions be in the South Sudan Pound in an effort to rein in inflation and the attendant cost of living, and lock out dollar speculators.
