Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki has been sworn-in as Kenya's deputy president.

The ceremony is being held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.

The event follows Thursday’s ruling by a three-judge bench that cleared the way for Prof Kindiki’s swearing-in as the deputy president.

The outgoing Interior Cabinet Secretary is now Kenya’s 13th second-in-command since independence.
