The United States has imposed new visa restrictions on foreign nationals it accuses of involvement in race-based discrimination, incitement of violence against minority groups and policies allowing land seizures without compensation in South Africa.
Though Washington did not disclose the exact number of South Africans targeted by the new visa policy or their names, the move has reopened an old debate on race, land and redress after apartheid, adding tensions between the US and Pretoria.
