As Sahel countries turn to US, will the Russians now exit?

Mali will have to answer a case before the African Court on atrocities committed by deploying Russian mercenaries whom rights activists alleged killed over 500 civilians.

But the case filed on Monday at the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights in Arusha, in which watchdogs accuse Mali of illegally deploying Russian Wagner fighters to combat terrorism, could shine a light on whether the Sahelian countries will continue taking in the Russians.
