A constitutional reform bill in Senegal could redraw the country's balance of power while exposing growing tensions within the alliance that swept President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Ousmane Sonko to office.
First introduced by President Faye in 2024, the reforms are now being steered through Parliament by Sonko's Pastef party, which commands a majority.
