The US Embassy in Ethiopia has advised its citizens in Addis Ababa to leave the country as soon as possible, amid heightened conflict, urging American citizens to take advantage of the several evacuation options available.
In a press release on Friday, the embassy said, “The security situation in Ethiopia continues to deteriorate. The Embassy urges US citizens in Ethiopia to depart now using commercially available options."
