Each year, thousands of young Africans leave their home countries with hopes of better lives abroad. Promises of jobs, dignity, and economic freedom seduce them into the hands of recruitment agents - many of whom are operating fraudulently, with full knowledge of their governments. For many, what begins as hope quickly turns into horror.

Mass youth migration out of Africa is not accidental. It is a direct consequence of failed economies and decades of broken promises by successive African governments.
