The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has accredited Ugandan biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturer, Dei BioPharma Ltd, to the African Pooled Procurement Mechanism (APPM).

This gives the Ugandan company a pass into the continental medicines market as the African Union and African governments seek to aggregate their purchasing power, strengthen supply security, and create more predictable markets for manufacturers on the continent.
