EAC targets 20,000 learners in expanded AI challenge
The priority of the AI challenge is to ensure East Africans have the skills, knowledge and partnerships to harness AI to create jobs, improve public services and develop solutions to the region’s challenges.
The East African Community (EAC), with support from Germany, is targeting some 20,000 people across the bloc in the new edition of Artificial Intelligence Challenge, AI4EAC.
The expanded programme seeks to equip young people, students, researchers and entrepreneurs with practical artificial intelligence skills while encouraging them to develop technology-driven solutions to challenges facing the region.
