Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame has expressed frustration over slow implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), nearly a decade after the agreement was launched to deepen trade across the continent.
Mr Kagame said the pact was conceived as a noble bid to unite African countries and make it easier for them to trade with one another but warned that the continent had fallen short in turning that ambition into reality.
