I haven’t been to Tanzania for quite a while. So last Sunday morning on a quick flight from Mombasa to transit through Nairobi, I was quite elated to see Mount Kilimanjaro towering through the clouds below its snow-covered peak. The snow, visibly plentiful after years of stories of the disappearing white cap on the mountain, was an exciting sight.
But an internet search temporarily dampened my excitement on re-educating me that the massive snow cover on the mountain was a matter of weather and not of climate.
