Tanzania’s plan to regulate the carbon credits market and tap its export potential is facing the first hurdle after stakeholders argued that the rules could curtail investments.

The country had hoped to earn from carbon credits, joining peers who have rushed to put in place regulations to control the multibillion-dollar industry.
