The African Union has issued a subtle protest against President Donald Trump’s decision to ban nationals of certain countries on the continent from travelling to the US, a reflection of the difficulties of keeping Trump happy.

The US President has made good his threat of restricting visas by imposing a travel ban on 12 countries worldwide, more than half of which are in Africa - Somalia, Chad, Eritrea, Congo-Brazzaville, Sudan, Libya and Equatorial Guinea.
