A Sudanese court on Sunday sentenced Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemedti, the leader of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), and 15 others to death by hanging for killing a local governor during the ongoing war.

The Anti-Terrorism and Crimes Against the State Court found Dagalo, his deputy Abdel Rahim, and 14 others guilty in absentia over the attack on El Geneina and the killing of Governor Khamis Abkar.
