Another fire has broken out on Mount Kilimanjaro, raising fresh concerns over the recurring threat of fires on Africa’s highest mountain and the vulnerability of its fragile ecosystems.
The latest fire was detected early on Monday, September 28, in the Sangarini area of Kamwanga, on the route towards the Shira Plateau inside Kilimanjaro National Park (Kinapa).
