Africa pushes for unlocking untapped critical minerals

African governments, development partners, financial institutions are exploring ways of harnessing the continent's vast critical mineral resources to boost national incomes, drive industrialisation and improve livelihoods.

At the high-level forum on July 10, hosted by the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Abidjan, leaders said Africa should use its mineral wealth to position itself at the centre of the global energy transition.
