Kenya’s fresh produce exporters lost up to $3 million daily after aviation workers went on a go-slow this week, disrupting cargo operations at Kenyan airports and threatening shipments of flowers, fruits, vegetables, meat, herbs and spices to global markets.

The aviation workers union eventually reached a deal with the government to resume duty on Tuesday, but the three-day go-slow may have cost exporters a fortune already.
