A visual spectacle and the power of friendship

Forgotten Island is one of those movies where you might overlook the bits that don’t work, simply because of the visuals.

What bits, you may ask? Well, the plot is predictable. It is a story we’ve seen in one form or another many times before. In fact, the very first time the two main friends met on screen, I was able to map where the story was going, the potential high and low points, and exactly how it would end. The big difference is, in this movie, they meander a lot as the story heads to the third act.
