Tensions have escalated between Sudan and South Sudan after the electoral authorities in Juba included the disputed oil-rich Abyei area in its voting constituencies for elections due in December.
Last week, South Sudan designated Abyei as a voting constituency even though the area remains undetermined, 15 years since South Sudan seceded from Sudan.
