Allies of South Sudan President Salva Kiir say they will arraign First Vice-President Riek Machar after removing him from government, a development that could torpedo any efforts to keep the 2018 peace accord in place.
Government spokesperson Michael Makuei said on Monday that Dr Machar would be replaced, after the conclusion of an investigation into his suspected role in recent violence in Nasir, Upper Nile State.
