Uganda Airlines (UR) expects to make its first profit in the year to June 2031, roughly 12 years after its relaunch, supported by a series of operational and commercial reforms leading up to the delivery of its 8 new Boeing planes.

The national flag carrier has been making losses since its reestablishment in 2019 and has largely been dependent on exchequer support and government subsidies to stay afloat and expand its operations.
