Uganda and South Sudan are not natural enemies. For years, their alliance has fostered business ties, military cooperation, and strong people-to-people relations.

South Sudan has even become Uganda’s biggest export market in recent years. However, this relationship is now being tested after a border dispute erupted last month with deadly consequences.
