Causes, effects will not let Samia rest until she does the done thing
Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Russian President Vladimir Putin attend a plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in Saint Petersburg, Russia June 5, 2026.
As October 29 continues to reverberate in Tanzanian political circles, it becomes clearer every day that the ruling clique are still missing the forest for the trees —that is to say they are lost in futile tactical manoeuvres that are taking them round and round, rather than attempting a strategic gambit to gain ground, not just time.
What are the trees and what is the forest?
